Is tile adhesive waterproof?

In the current market, various tile adhesives are available, each designed for specific applications. Many of these tile adhesives are suitable for areas with constant water exposure, providing reliable adhesion even in wet conditions. To determine whether a particular adhesive is waterproof, refer to the information provided on the adhesive package.

Which material do you employ for tile-on-tile fitting?

When engaging in tile-on-tile fitting, it is imperative that the original tiles are in excellent condition and free from any cracks. Prior to the application of new tiles on existing ones, ensure that the current surface is level to prevent future gaps. The process involves cleaning the previously tiled surface using sandpaper. Creating a rough texture on the existing surface facilitates proper adhesion of the new tiles. To establish a uniform base for the new tiles, apply a thin layer of thin-set mortar. Allow the coating to dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours.
